F.A.Q's

  • How long is each dog walk?
Walks are half an hour or an hour duration, depending on you and your dog’s needs. This does not include pick up and drop off time
  • What areas do you cover?
    Pal4Paws are based in Ferndown.
  • Will my dog be in a group walk?
No, Pal4Paws only walk single dogs, unless they are from the same household and then it's a maximum of two dogs. We walk nervous and reactive dogs also the older dog.
  • Where do the walks take place?
My walks consist of a mix of your dogs regular route, within your own area and some green walks a little further afield for added variety.
  • Should I be here for the collect & drop off?
No...my clients are comfortable with me holding a key to their property. All keys are securely kept and never state your address or contact.
  • Will my dog be on a lead?
Dogs are walked on lead. However, this can be discussed during our initial meeting. If your preference is for walks off lead, your dog must have good recall. Mutual trust is required which can take time to establish.
  • Are you fully insured?
Yes, Pal4Paws are fully insured and DBS checked. Also, I hold a Type 2 Long Journey Transporter Authorisation License along with a Department for Environment Food & Rural Affairs, Animal Waste Carrier registration
  • What if there's an emergency?
Not a problem... I'm easy-going and understand there are times when you don't need me to walk your dog. You can cancel at anytime and I only require 24hrs notice if you wish to cancel or reduce the walks.
  • What is the difference between a dog sitter and house sitter?
House Sitting involves a dog sitter travelling to an owner's property to keep company and care for the family dog. This service is ideal for owners away for long periods of time.
